Built for a busy night behind the bar
A bar POS has one job at 22:00 on a Saturday: get the drink to the customer and the money into the right drawer, without the bartender thinking about the system. OndyPOS puts the products in a quick bar, opens a tab in two taps, and takes cash, card or a mobile money transfer, or a split of them, on the same bill.
Behind that speed sits the accounting most bars never get from a notebook: every pour drops the stock level, every tab is tied to the bartender who opened it, and every void or comp is recorded with who approved it.
Tabs, happy hour and regulars
- Tabs by name or table, with drinks added through the night and settled in one go, or moved to another tender when the group splits the bill.
- Happy-hour and price rules that switch prices by time of day and day of week automatically, so nobody has to remember to charge the special.
- Discounts and comps on a line or on the bill, with a reason, and with a manager PIN when an operator does it.
- House accounts for regulars who run a monthly account, with a credit limit, a running balance, payments into the drawer and a printable statement.
- Tips recorded per sale and shown per bartender.
Shift cash-ups that balance
Each bartender clocks in with a personal 4-digit PIN and opens the shift with a float. Sales, refunds, account payments and tips accumulate against that shift. At the end, the bartender counts the drawer and OndyPOS shows the expected cash, the counted cash and the difference, so a short drawer is a conversation the same night rather than a surprise at month end.
Managers approve voids and refunds with their own PIN. A void is only possible while the original shift is open; after that it becomes a refund, which is recorded separately and restocks the bottle if you say so. Everything lands in the audit log.
Stock control by the bottle
- Live stock levels and a movement ledger for every product: sales, receiving, wastage, transfers and counts.
- Stock take sessions that snapshot the system count, let staff count on their phones, and post the variance as a movement.
- Low-stock alerts by email and a suggested purchase order, then receiving that updates cost prices.
- Transfers between the main bar and a second bar or storeroom.
What the owner sees
A close-of-day email arrives at the hour you choose with takings by tender, every shift's cash variance, discounts, refunds, top sellers, open tabs and low stock. On screen there are daily sales, staff performance against targets, category and profit reports, the VAT report and CSV exports for the accountant. Two-factor sign-in protects the owner's login.
